We are dedicated to integrating environmental stewardship and social responsibility into every facet of our operations, from manufacturing to product design, supply chain management, and beyond. This commitment drives us to create products that are not only innovative and effective but also contribute to a more resilient and sustainable world.
In October 2022, Walex took a significant step by measuring the company’s carbon footprint, setting the foundation for ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental impact. As part of this initiative, we turned to renewable energy sources, marking a major milestone in 2023 when our solar array became fully operational, supplying 100% of the energy needed for our manufacturing processes. Building on this success, in 2024, we expanded our solar capacity by an additional 10%, further solidifying our commitment to clean energy.
In parallel with our energy transformation, we phased out the use of propane-powered forklifts, replacing them with electric models that are charged using our solar-generated energy. This switch has effectively eliminated the carbon emissions associated with our internal logistics and forklift traffic, demonstrating our commitment to decarbonizing every aspect of our operations.
But our sustainability journey doesn’t stop there.
We are actively pursuing innovation in product design, prioritizing sustainable sourcing, minimizing waste, and increasing our recycling efforts. These initiatives are part of our broader strategy to reduce our carbon footprint by an additional 20% over the next two years, with an ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030.
