“Nice product and easy to use just as it was advertised did a very nice job of cleaning some of the green mold off of my awning and really brightened up and made the sides of the camper shine again. Good value for the money.”

“I used this on some bad buildup that had gotten on my awnings from being parked for long periods. It worked great. I used a pesticide foam gun sprayer to apply it. A good scrub with a brush and it rinsed it all away.”

Benefits of a UV inhibitor

  • Prevents Fading and Discoloration
    • UV inhibitors reduce the breakdown of pigments and dyes, preserving the original color and appearance of the surface.
  • Reduces Material Degradation
    • UV exposure can weaken the structural integrity of materials like plastics, wood, rubber, and fabric. UV inhibitors help prevent this by absorbing or reflecting harmful UV rays.
  • Extends Longevity
    • Surfaces treated with UV inhibitors typically last longer because they resist the wear and tear caused by prolonged sun exposure.
  • Improves Surface Durability
    • By preventing cracking, chalking, or peeling, UV inhibitors maintain the functionality and aesthetic of the material.
  • Protects Against Oxidation
    • UV rays can trigger oxidation in materials like plastics and metals, leading to surface dullness or corrosion. UV inhibitors act as a protective barrier.
  • Enhances Weather Resistance
    • In outdoor applications, UV inhibitors work alongside other protective agents to shield surfaces from combined exposure to sunlight, rain, and temperature fluctuations.

Why do I need to apply a UV inhibitor to my awning?

A UV inhibitor is a chemical additive or coating applied to surfaces to protect them from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Prevents Fading and Discoloration - UV inhibitors reduce the breakdown of pigments and dyes, preserving the original color and appearance of the surface. 2.
