“This stuff straight up works! I filled my black tank with water a few weeks back, dropped one of these in, took it to storage about 2 miles from home. Today I picked the RV up and brought it home and dumped the black tank. Voila it reads empty. Wow, this is the first time in the 4 years that I’ve owned it the black tank monitor is reading empty..”

“I can’t say anything bad about this product, I bought my 20 year old Motorhome this year and the sensors never showed anything but full, even just after dumping. (You all know how it is). I’ve been a full timer nearly since purchasing it and the hardest part was finding a time I could be without my toilet for 24 hours, even though it does say leave in for 8- 24 hours. I picked a time when I was moving to a new location near a friend’s rig; and then ended up not able to dump for 48 hours… needless to say this stuff far exceeded my expectations after trying a handful of other products. If anyone tries to tell you (as many told me), “don’t bother trying, the sensors never work”, don’t give up until you’ve tried this..”

Instructions for Use
Packets
Empty black holding tank and close valve. Add one (1) Commando packet into the empty tank and fill the holding tank full of water. The water level needs to cover all sensors to allow Commando to penetrate and clean any buildup off the walls and sensors. Let product sit in tank for 12 to 24 hours. Driving the vehicle to agitate can help speed up the process, but is not required. 12 hours is sufficient to break down most waste and paper buildup, but extreme cases may require letting the tank sit for 24 hours. One (1) Commando packet will treat a holding tank capacity up to 50 gallons.
Liquid
Empty black holding tank and close valve. Add 4oz of Commando liquid into the empty tank and fill the holding tank full of water. - “First time I used it one more of my sensors started working even though I did not move my RV. When I did finally get back on the road, I did as the instruction said to do and now all of my sensors are working properly. Thank you, Commando! I would definitely recommend this product. -Ken
- “Had sensors giving me false readings. Drained the black tank, flushed the tank then filled it up with water (30 gallons). Dropped one pod into the tank and let it sit for a few weeks. Drove it to a dump station, dumped the tank and PRESTO no more false readings! Thank you Walex!” "Commando to the Rescue!"
- “This seems to work as advertised. After following the directions, my black tank sensors started working again. This appears to clean the sensors as claimed, very well worth a try if you’re having problems with dirty sensors.” -James "Works great! You can leave it in your black tank for weeks...""
- “If you own a RV – this little packet is the BOMB! it is great in keeping your black tank clean and odorless. We have been full time RVGing x 4 yrs now and found out about this product when our 5th wheel was in brief storage for repair. It is great – we use a packet every other dump and be sure to add extra H2O with daily solid fecal flushes. It keeps the blank tank bladders running smooth. What an amazing product to keep a new or older RV out of the “poo”. Best price is buying the canister, and we don’t put TP or wet wipes down the pot. This makes it easier for the solids to break up and flow out of the dump hoses.” -CB "Good stuff!"
- “These cleaned our black tank nicely! We could not get the sensors to show empty. It would be stuck on 1/3 full, even when we knew the tank was empty (just emptied) So we researched some and came across these. Our sensors must have gotten some kind of residue on them. This cleaned them nicely. It worked pretty fast, as we dropped one in and only let sit for 12 hours, maybe less. And also had the tank not completely empty when dropped it in. Worked great!!!!! This was a repeat buy to have on hand.” "Amazing and Wonderful Product!"
- “I just want to tell you that you have a GREAT product. I recently bought a used camper that the blackwater tank had never been sprayed out, they only dumped it. My gauges were reading full and and tried everything i could find to get them cleaned including spraying the tank with a wand. After placing Commando tank cleaner in the tank, and letting it sit for 2 days before dumping, the gauges now work perfectly. Thank you again for a wonderful product.” -John K. "Works Awesome to Clean Sensors!"
- "You have a GREAT product"
Can I leave Commando in longer than 12 hours?
Yes. The most common question we receive about Commando is how long can we leave it in our holding tank. Commando is a pre-portioned product designed to work in as little as 12 to 24 hours for those in a hurry. However, if you need to leave Commando in your holding tank for 48 hours, 72 hours, or even a week, that would be okay and will not harm your holding tank. Each packet contains enzymes that immediately go to work, breaking down waste and paper and penetrating build-up on your tank walls and sensors. Walex chemists designed the super-concentrated formula to work quickly to eliminate the most robust waste and paper build-up. Although it’s rare to have build-up after using Commando when used according to instructions, if you continue to have issues due to extreme build-up, you can repeat the process.
Does this product require agitation to work?
No, Commando’s enzymes work without agitation. It wouldn’t hurt to drive around after dropping the packet in, but enzymes in Commando’s super-concentrated formula attack and eliminate waste and paper build-up without any agitation required.
Can I dump into a septic system after using Commando?
Yes, Commando is an enzyme-based formula, so it is septic-safe and California compliant.
Does Commando have a fragrance?
Yes. Commando has a very light and fresh Ocean Mist fragrance.
Do I need to empty my tank before dropping in Commando?
Yes, for the best results, you should empty and flush your tank before using Commando. Drop one packet of Commando into your empty tank and fill holding tank as full as you can with water for the best results. Empty again as soon as 12 to 24 hours; however, you can leave in for longer if needed.
Can I use Commando in my grey tank too?
While Commando wasn’t designed explicitly for Grey Water holding tanks, customers have used it with satisfactory results to clean their sensors. The same time frame of 12-24 hours or longer, if needed, is suggested. Simply drop a Commando into a plastic cup and dissolve with room temp tap water. Stir carefully and pour down the drain. A full tank will give you the best results. For Grey water tank sanitation and odor control, we make a product called Elemonate, designed explicitly formulated to destroy grey tank build-up like organic sludge, grease, and food particles.
